EDF's £200 Alternative Fuel Payment Hasn't Arrived Yet

There is no £29,000 saving threshold for not-paying tax. You are allowed to earn £1,000 of interest per year as a basic rate taxpayer. But you do not get that it's allowance if you're lucky enough to be a top 45% rate taxpayer earning over £150,000. Anybody who has an alternative fuel - such as LPG or heating oil - is entitled to a £200 payment as a cost of living payment. The problem with the system is it's paid out by your electricity company and they don't know whether you are on Lpg or heating oil because you don't pay them for that.
