The Time Limits on Brain Injury Claims
Alex Popham told me that 150 former rugby players in the UK had been diagnosed with brain injuries, and there were perhaps 100 more who'd not yet been fully tested. If you think of a back row forward in rugby union, for example, every time they tackle, carry, rock, mall, they are getting a ding to the head ultimately. A simple ding doesn't cause any particular damage, but over the course of a 10, 15, 20 year rugby career, these guys are accumulating tens of thousands,. hundreds of thousands of those sub concussions. And it's that which causes so much trauma and difficulty in later life. You see considerable memory loss, anger, violence, depression
