9% of adults and 18% of adolescents satisfy the criteria for a cannabis use disorder or a dependence on it. Smoking weed puts you at major risk for people who take methylphenidate for their ADHD to know that methylphenidate and cannabis interact with each other in a way that could cause increased heart strain. It can lead to issues with anxiety, with paranoia, with depression. Most people with ADHD have a comorbid disorder, like depression, anxiety, binge eating. And it always exacerbates those problems as well as exacerbating all of the ADHD issues.
