In the 70s which are like you have stonewall on the us in 69 queer rights moments are kind of starting to bubble and then in the 1970s a politically active gay movement emerges in west germany. In 1972 there was a book published under a pseudonym named heins hager called the men with the pink triangle by a gay concentration camp survivor who told their story. This started all of these debates amongst west german queer activists about how does one be out.
