Four children whose safe passage would helping calais to reunite with their families here in britain, died in the last 12 months trying to make the crossing. Because the system doesn't work, they are forced to do it irregularly and died this essentially says that their deaths is the acceptable price of a deterrent to other children. It's the equivalent of leaving children playing in the middle of the road to deter others from trying to cross. In a single year, two thousand, 900 people were drowned crossing the mediterranean. The pole factors are certainly as self evident as any claimed pole factor. But hundreds ofd thousands of refugees are in camps which are safe and which are in the region
