The Relationship Between Content and Probability
Louis Tannen's new podcast shifts focus away from beliefs and towards more objective things like language and knowledge. The content of a proposition is the set of all logical consequences of a given proposition For example, the content of the statement It is monday is a set of things saying it's not tuesday or wednesday nor thursday. Louis says that as the content of a propositions goes up the probability goes down. He also explains why he doesn't make bets in games of chance when you have repeated trials to test theories.
