The Mount of Transfiguration and Mount Calvary
The Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands, Matthew says. He was killed for his prophetic act. It is about to happen to Jesus himself,. Then the disciples understood that he was talking to them about John the Baptist. The tension between the Mount of Transfiguration and Mount Calvary can only be made sense if we see it side by side with the other.
