The Relationship Between Race and Illusion
The term racecraft, which is your coinage, describes that overall relationship between racism and race. Racecraft encompasses the fact that the race that's pictured by the subject as real. In fact, it's made to be real and envisioned collectively as something real. One of the examples or groups of examples that we keep coming back to in racecraft is that of the police officer who is mistaken for a criminal by fellow police officers.
