How to Meet Your Parents Safely
I feel like because she's clearly the mother still has enough control over you to be able to take her phone away. Which my mother did multiple times so I very much relate to the problem. You shouldn't worry about your parents meeting each other yet if not even met each other yet. Maybe meet him in a safe way and determine what exactly you want from it. And someone outside of the person you bring should know your location at all times. This feels very like paranoid but I think like too much bad stuff goes on. But ultimately you don't know this person, you don’t know their family or who they are. If you think the connection is worth exploring that's great
