Into Umbri by Uncle Toom
Inta umbri was more than a hit song. It ushered in the second coming of Uncle Toom's popularity. Towards the end of her life, Uncle Toom began to pursue a new purpose. A self-imposed role as the ambassador for Egyptian culture and public morale. In 1967, Egypt was defeated in the Six-Day War against Israel. The Arab community needed me. They needed to be reminded of Nasser's vision of Pan-Arab unity. Now more than ever.
