The Yeoman Forester in Chaucer's Canterbury Tales

A yeoman forester had to be a master of archery and of hunting. He could hunt game himself to bring to his patron, or he could oversee hunts for his lord. And you can see a striking similarity between the character of the yeoman that is described in chaucer's canterbury tales and robin hood and his men.
