I do think that there's not one utility function, but again, this takes me back to pluralism. I really want to live in a world where there's retroactive public goods funding, and there's quadratic funding,. There's conviction voting, and there're assurance contracts. We'll be a plurality of utility functions, and let's build them for ourselves now. But hopefully, when the AI is or AGI comes out there, we can just say, hey, this is your utility function," he says.
