In philosophy there's a view for that right it's called compatibleism, the notion that really at the end of the day, there are some deterministic processes that are at work. But as you said they're probabilistic right they don't give us just one set of outcomes that will inevitably come to pass. Instead there's this kind of quantity stuff going on such that there are a few possible realities that could collapse and depending upon how we interact with our world will choose or not choose one over the other. I agree with you the virtual world is not in any sense separate from the natural world. It's really an extension, a growth, a fruit, an expression of human creativity
