Hebrew Terms for God, Elohem

In the original hebrew, the word for god is elohim. It can mean the true god, or a pagan god, or an angel, or even a departed human soul. So you can see how we need to clarify our terms if we're going to talk about polytheism and monotheism outside of a modern christian context. I like to introduce a set of four different categories of spiritual beings which can apply across different cultures and religions.
