The Importance of Technology in Capitalism
I think that maybe in capitalist technological progress is inevitable. Its benefits are not inevitable. But I'm not so sure that the in other system things are much better because either there is no development or if you think about during the Soviet Union, there was a lot of technological development for military purposes and not as much for common human beings. We are struggling to think about a world in which you can get the benefits of technology without having the cost. That's the ideal but it's not easy to imagine.
