I think the soldiers are there not to prepare for a world war one style invasion. The soldiers are there to give a threat to the rest of us that he's going to meddle round and stir up trouble in krane, try and steer its domestic politics his way. I don't know how important the foreign policy flobs actually are. i suspect afghanistan is about number 29 on the list of priorities for most voters. And you've probably e much better able to answer that questionthn than i would be. It seems like there's often a disconnect between what the professional commentators say about presidents in foreign policy and what voters think.
