Aren't There Many Working Class Blacks Working Working Class Jobs?
There's been a steady two, three percentage point every election drop in support in those groups moving towards the Republican party. That increases the legitimacy of the claim of the Republican party that it has become the party of the working class. The Democrats focus on the safety net, making sure that the risk of falling down is less than Republicans focus on cutting taxes. So if you make money, can you keep more of it, that you can move up the ladder? And this has been one of the problems.
