The Importance of First Person in YA

First person is a good way to establish one character solidly that can carry an entire book with their voice immediately. You don't want to then have the problem of who is this person later on who's telling us the story. The frame story has really kind of gone out of style, but you still see it in a lot of the adult genres. And I think it's actually a nice thing that YA has developed.
