The Fed raised interest rates this month to the highest level in 15 years. It's taking a sharper increase in interest rates than they would have anticipated, says CNN's John Sutter. The unemployment rate is historically low, 3.7% in November; there's not really been any evidence of a slowdown in the job market yet. But companies are reluctant to lay workers off, even if they see a little bit of drop in business because they had so much trouble hiring workers.
