The Pentagon is close to completing a major policy refresh that will set clear requirements for how personnel are permitted to engage with software applications on digital devices. California Democrat Ted Lu said later this month he won't introduce bipartisan legislation that would create an artificial intelligence blue ribbon bipartisan commission. The revamp comes months after Department of Defense Inspector General led review, spotlighted concerns and risks around DOD components' misuse of electronic apps on government devices.
