What Is Goodness Loveliness?
Goodness, for aquinas, is synonymous with existence. This is a sort of aristotelian point that he borrows from aristotle. Because to exist is good. Not only that god is holding an existence and he is goodness. So therefore it has to be thremasto be some goodness in everything that exists,. But also there a level of goodness, you might say, inasmuch as it continues to be - into what he created it to be. And any time we use those words in our life or about created things, we understand that he's the exemplar. The more we participate in his existence, the less we participate in ours.
