The African Sexual Practices of the Past
Within African societies, we had spaces both social and spiritual that helped institutionalize healthy sexual practices. I think even just outside of Africa as well, the world was not as intimidated by sex. There were African sexual practices that centered women and in particular their pleasure. It wasn't just at the watering hole being like, hey, you know what, he needs to go down on me more. And one of the things we've realized a lot in our work is how sex seeps into so much of your emotional life.
