The Royal Society's Diversity Meeting

This year out of 43 appointed university research fellows, URFs, only two were women. The Royal Society is taking this very seriously and has launched an investigation. Women tend to be dropping out of the academic stream at a point where they need to make decisions about their career path. Some of them are to do with wanting to get married or have a family.
