Marita is a convinced fascist. Her husband Bernard has already been interned as being held in prison for his fascist activities, and Marita wants to take revenge. Perigo was exactly the kind of Nazi sympathiser that MI5 was concerned about. Lord Rothschild described her as crafty and dangerous. A woman of this type, with so much misdirected ingenuity, might do great harm to the security and war effort of this country.
