Why We Will Never Recover From This Awful Tragedy
Brian Dixon was sentenced to life in prison for the murder of Liu Tian. Immediately after sentencing, Brian announced his intention to appeal. In 2020, Statistics Canada reported on survey results that three quarters of Canadian college and university students have either witnessed or experienced unwanted sexual behaviour. One in ten women students had experienced a sexual assault in a post-secondary setting during the previous year. Women with disabilities and the LGBTQ community are especially vulnerable.
