Biodynamic Farming in Nazi Germany, the Politics of Biodynamic Agriculture
In the 1930s, biodynamic advocates touted their version of organic agriculture as spiritually aware peasant wisdom. The movement saw Nazi policies as more or less in line with their own esoteric beliefs. One Nazi catchphrase that you'll hear a lot, even today, is blood and soil. But when they talk about the soil, they're actually talking more about a metaphysical connection to the dirt.
