Is the Status Quo a Wedge Issue?

The gun lobby has never been weaker. The nray is a crapulent, corrupt, failing institution. It does not derive from money. Its power derives from the fact that they're pretty good at doing party functions like organizing and mobilizing and educating voters. And when you frame these things as in the populous framework of these out of touch, alete, nefarious forces manipulating our politics, it makes things more poisonous. All we can hope to do is lessen and ameliorate the problem and get on a better path with people who are determined to find ways to murder people.
