Autistic People Like to Be Alone

There's 110 autistic people who are in long term segregation. They're locked in a room with nothing but a mattress fed through a hatch, you know, fed on the floor. Nowhere to go to the toilet, only given one or two pieces of tissue paper, no sanitary products. We're talking about really inhumane degrading experiences and it does disproportionately impact women,. I wonder whether a lot of people have no idea. And what we're hearing a lot at the moment is autistic people like to be alone. They like to be in seclusion. But they also need meaningful relationships so that actually every relationship they have isn't going to be a harmful one.
