How to Shorten Sayings
When the context is obvious, we don't need to say what we're talking about. A really common one is the more the merrier. Meri is kind of like a slightly old fashioned word that means happy. So it's a good saying if you basically want to let someone know there is no such thing as too many people. You want lots and lots of people to come to your event. How do you like your tea? You could say, the stronger, the better, the stronger the better.
