The Importance of Interactivity in Learning
Lecturing can be of some value, but it does matter how you do it. If there was nothing active, if the other person is listening to you rather than talking themselves or doing something necessarily themselves, the fact that it's that way doesn't seem to me to preclude that it can be ofsome value. You might think of it as something like a film. People watch films and they get a lot from films. It doesn't mean that there's a problem with films because they're not interactive enough. They're not computer games or something. So our goal is that people learn. And what are our goals? I suppose I just say: "Our goal is learning"
