The Indianapolis Story
The indianapolis is famously known as a us s, a portland class cruiser, heavy cruiser. After delivering the components to an island in the pacific that would be put together and made into the first atomic bomb, it gets torpedoed by a japanese submarine. Imagine being asleep in your bunk at night on a ship and two torpedoes slam into it,. One slammed into the bow at the front of the ship, one slammed sort of amidships, but a little forward.
