How to Optimize Your Heart Rate Variability

HRV is a derivative of heart rate. It's probably the most reliable metric to date of recovery, which is therefore representative of how adaptable we are at any moment. If our HRV is low, that means our resting heart rate is typically high and there's less variability between each beat. So, it doesn't mean you should go and look at your HRV right now and look at it and just say, oh, less 20, 40, 60, whatever, that's low.
