The Friendship of Trey Parker and Matt Stone

Trey Parker and Matt Stone are clearly friends. It doesn't mean that they hate each other. They work together. South Park is way funnier than Saturday Night Live because it's structurally constrained by the kinds of jokes they can make. Other comedies play it much more safe when it comes to referencing specific people in the real world. The show will really make fun of celebrities and people in the public eye in a way that very few other shows will go as hard into it as South Park will.
