The Business Travel Recession Is Over

American is weaker in all three cities. They have always been smaller than United in Chicago. In New York, American clearly saw the Alliance with JetBlue as a way to try to recapture what they had lost in New York. But I think it's too late for American in LA. Delta has played the winning hand there for business travelers domestically and maybe some internationally out of LA. Scott Kirby declared a business travel recession. He said businesses are in recession mode, even as consumers are spending heavily on travel.
