i think the allies overestimated their own qualities and underestimated the japanese. There was a sense really that the atian foe couldn't possibly be as good as one's own. And there was a real sense, i think, but are india seen this in the same way as the ri or does india also want independence as well? I mean, i do think that the assumption is af that part of usand they will do as they are told. But equally, i would say that this has repercussions within the commonwealth of it.
