How to Prevent Fog From Getting Through Your Glasses
The current cold snap will mean many glasses, whereas we'll be facing a familiar problem fogging. The water condenses into millions of tiny droplets that scatter the light coming through and obscure your view. Now Tom Schutzius has come up with a new way to solve this problem, potentially. He's got a coating which is made from tiny particles of gold, they're called golden nanoparticles,. They are so small that they are actually transparent to visible light. But the right size to absorb bigger waves, called infrared, otherwise known as heat.
