In 19 forty one japan launched a surprise attack on pearl harbor, and the united states declared war on japan. The international parts of shanghai continued to be run foreign powers, but they were surrounded by japanese occupiers. Down in the poor valley, it was one of those foreign families who left the suit case with the american flag in lilian's attic, because they were seen as neutral. We were nobody's enemies since we didt have a country. So 25 thousand russian states lived throughout the war.
