i've noticed that by day two and three, you're already so much more in sink. My safety nut will be at bedtime, when everyone's winding down, i will go in and chat with one of the kids for ten minutes. And if i can, if i've got the stamina to do more than one, great. But my goal, my little small win, would be to just see one of the children, because i think i can do that? That's something i can do. Well, i love that. It feels like to me right now, anyway, that this idea of the ten minutes one on one is like the compound interest of successful parenting. I mean

If your life is anything like mine, you probably have far more problems than you can solve in one day. It’s easy to become overwhelmed.

When this happens, it is often our most important relationships that suffer.
