I still don't get what is the standard school physics view of what the observer does or how. So if we think of the light, so it's okay, babe, when does it come up? When does the observer affect physical systems? That's the question which is not allowed by the Copenhagen interpretation. You must stop thinking that way. There is no such thing as what brings about the outcome. I think lecturers and teachers are too embarrassed to talk like that nowadays.
