What Do You Want the Book to Do?

I want the book to give people permission to get off the sort of cycle of despair or desperate optimism that I see lots of people going through around stuff like climate change. I want it to make it possible for people who have been told they're in opposite sides to have fruitful conversations with each other. The things that I want to explore next are more into like the book kind of ends with me saying like surrender but choose what you're surrendering to don't surrender to the certainty about how the story ends. That is a really like potent drug in some of the places that the climate conversations end up surrender to the mystery and so yeah I guess that's where I want to go next with what
