Fire is the organizing principle of the household that you're describing, I think. How does it shape it? So again, there is very little source for light or heat. The placement of hearts in the house will have centered people's movements. That's where we find traces of handicrafts like weaving and textile technology. It's all centered around the hearts. Do we know who's making the fire? We don't know but these sources for thrall names are quite illuminating.
