India and Pakistan heatwave is a sign of worse to come

This usually would have been, you know, a once in 300 year heat wave. Now it's estimated to be a once in three years heat wave. If we look at prolonged spells of heat over large areas, often we do find climate change signals a hundredfold increase or even more. In general, in this region, we're seeing temperatures rising, but if we look at the most extreme wave temperatures, we haven't seen an increase.
