Is the Mandate Really Important?
If the government were to propose that 4.1 hours per patient day threshold, only 6% of SNF's nationwide would meet that number today. And in fact, it would cost the industry $10.1 billion annually. So what does this then mean for the industry if we still have this problem of not enough staff? We know that the mandate approach is not necessarily something that is going to affect change.
