Is There a Separation of God and Satan?

In the book of revelation, if jesus was dead in the abyss, would that not mean satan would be dead as well? The other thing we have to consider is that satan doesn't have a mortal life span. When god decides it's time for him to cease to exist, then that's what happens. Satan only exists now because god wills it. If god wanted to destroy satan right now, he could very well do that.
