The Power of Writing

I'm thinking more of like, you know, I just had a piece in Harper's where the whole piece has hardly anything of myself at all. And so my editor said, why don't you just try this? And so I wrote a longer version of it. He cut a couple paragraphs out and boom, that was it. So I felt it came off, but it was, it was, I felt it was risky because I hadn't created a structure for it. But he made those moves right. Right. Well, I think the work is so, to me, it's so great and powerful that it's really like beyond moves, you know.
