The Importance of Errors in Learning

In a paper that we published just last year in the Journal of Motor Behavior, which we looked at the role of errors in learning. We came away with the idea that there are desirable errors and undesirable errors. And it seemed to us, at least within the constraints of the study, that the errors that were repeatable could be used to problem solve in the future. The ones that were random and non-reputable were actually not good for learning.
