Hungary is finding out the exact same thing as their democracy continues to backslide under victor orbon. Once you've allowed this type of government in the door, it is very hard to get them out again. Enri leville reminds us that 30 years ago, we thought poland and hungary were happily joining us in the circle of western democracies. But after a few decades, they allowed themselves to devolve into something a little bit different.
