The Future of Mediterranean Archaeology in Sardinia

Local identity can be more or less important at different points and different times in that process. And I think interestingly, there are still parts of the Mediterranean in geographical terms that are in the whole of North Africa. There is an archaeology of post medieval in Italy that's reasonably well developed, but it doesn't have that breadth of development as here. So those later periods are really interesting. Contemporary new contemporary archaeology of the fascist period has been done a little bit, but it's also with the new technological means there's interest.
