Lamas and the Mallory Expedition

A photo of tibetan monks with lamas in the twenties led to an international incident. It was part of publicity for a 19 24 film, which was filmed by captain john knoll. The authorities were so furious about the way that the religion was parodied they banned any more attempts on mount everis.
