Military Service
Military service is a very abstracted one. It is very commodified. There are heavy patterns in terms of geographic origins and ethnic origins and socio economic status, yet that that go along with your membership and the military. To take this back to the brondage near east, if you have military service being associated with more with some particular ethnic groups than others, socia, economic groups, that all those things can go together as well. Both involve military service for pay.
